It was reported by the Sydney Morning Herald on August 17 2010 that Gillard said "said there will be no tax on carbon while she leads the federal government." The same report quotes the Deputy Prime Minister, Wayne Swan, saying that that "if Labor won the election there would be no carbon tax during its three-year term." No Carbon Tax we already have income tax, GST, Company Tax, Stamp duties for almost everything and there is even an airport tax if you want to just leave!
A carbon tax will do absolutely nothing to improve the quality of life for average citizens. One volcano eruption alone will outdo any benefits a carbon tax will ever achieve.
Remember this carbon tax is proposed by the people who gained infamy from projects such as pink bats and propose culling camels to reduce green house emissions while stopping the export of cattle! What amount of your tax dollars has been sent on this rubbish? Is this the sort of waste they need to carbon tax you for?
Warwick McKibbon of the RBA stated recently "The $50 billion national broadband network epitomised the sort of waste Australia could not afford. ''I would say to any politician who thinks that spending is worthwhile, take your salary as shares in NBNCo. If you think it's a good investment, you'll be ahead,'' he said."
Warwick McKibbon also stated that "Australia needed a sovereign wealth fund to store mining income while it lasted, ideally stored in a separate account for each taxpayer so the government could not raid it."
Yet what is the current Labor, Greens and independant alliance doing with your money?
- Proposing a Carbon Tax
- Wasting money on an NBN which could one day be reduntant
- Giving away money to some, but not all members of the community
- Propose giving some of the carbon tax back to low income earners, but not to all tax payers
- Stopping exports of cattle which could arguably offset any camel culling!
- Proposing the culling of camels to reduce green house emissions???!!!
- Proposing the closing of all coal mines, yes those greens again
- Close access to forests and national parks, yes Greens want everyone to live in cities and towns and stay there!
